|Italian Plum Tart Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
½ cup butter softened
1⁄8 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
12 plums halved and pitted
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Preparation Instructions:
Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan. Preheat the oven up to 350C. Mix 1 cup of sugar and the butter together. Stir the combined eggs and vanilla. Dry the ingredients and stir into the butter. Spoon all of it into the prepared pan. Put the plum halves with the skin side up on the batter. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon over them. Let it bake for 1 hour. It is best served warm with vanilla ice cream. This is also best served the same day of the baking, as the moisture of the fruit can seep into the dough and affect the texture of the tart. It still tastes great, though!
