How To Make AUTHENTIC Italian Tiramisu (VIDEO)

Here’s how I make my tiramisu!

Ingredients:
espresso (enough to dip the savoiardi in)
savoiardi (I used about 24)
500 grams of mascarpone
4 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar (100 grams)
unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp rum (optional)


Instructions:
1. make your espresso and add a spoon of sugar + rum if wanted. let it cool completely.
2. separate your eggs and put into separate bowls
3. add the sugar to the egg yolks and beat with electric mixer until it becomes a pale, yellow color. (about 1 min)
3. add mascarpone and mix well.
4. beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. (3-4 mins)
5. fold in the egg whites into the mascarpone mixture with a spatula.
6. place a thin layer of custard into bottom of a dish.
7. dip savoiardi in coffee and create first layer.
8. add half of the custard on top and spread evenly.
9. dust with cocoa powder.
10. repeat and add another layer of savoiardi dipped in coffee.
11. spread the rest of custard on top and dust with cocoa powder.
12. put in fridge for at least 6 hours or overnight.
13. serve & enjoy!

*this contains raw egg, remember to always keep it in the fridge*
