Calzone Recipe – How to Make a Calzone – Easy Pizza Pockets | Homemade Calzones (VIDEO)
Calzone is an italian filled oven bread. A typical calzone is baked in oven and stuff with mozzarella and cheese.
pizza dough
Pizza sauce=as required
bellpeppers of different colours=one cup( cut into small cubes)
mushrooms=as per your choice
(u can add as much veggies as you like,such as sweet corns,olives etc..)
mozrella cheese shredded=1 cup or as per your choice
chedder cheese=1 cup or as per your choice
(you can add any cheese of your choice in addition to mozrella)
italian mixed herbs for seasoning=2 teaspoons
OR
basil=1/2 teaspoon
thyme=1/2 teaspoon
oregano=1/2 teaspoon
white papper powder=1/2 tea spoon
paprika=1 teaspoon
for chicken seasoning you will need
chicken breast=2 large(cut into small cubes)
salt=to taste
black pepper powder=1 tea spoon
white pepper powder=1/2 tea spoon
garlic powder=1/2 tea spoon
paprika=1 teaspoon
basil=1/2teaspoon
oregano=1/2 teaspoon
white vinegar=1 teaspoon
MARINADE THE CHICKEN WITH ALL THESE SPICES
Method
heat 2 table spoon of olive oil in a pan and add marinated chicken to it,,just saute it for 1 or 2 minute and then add veggies and add italian herbs or the spices(as i mentioned above)..saute for a minute or two then turn off the flame.Rollout the pizza dough firmly with hands or with rolling pin on a floured surface.Apply the pizza sauce to half of the pizza dough and then put cheese on it and then the chicken snd veggies stuffing to it.At the end also put some cheese on it and then tightens its ends with a fork and cut out the extra dough.apply melted butter on the top of pizza and also a little bit pizza sauce and drizzle some oregano.Bake it in the pre heated(for 15 minutes on 180°C)oven and bake it on 200°C to 250°C(depending on your oven temp)for 20 minutes..
