Spaghetti Bolognese – Easy Italian Pasta Recipe (VIDEO)

Learn how to make this delicious pasta recipe with spaghetti, a really tasty dish with great flavour, perfect for kids and adults alike. Spaghetti Bolognese is one of the most famous Italian recipes in the world. The sauce is a combination of tomato sauce, vegetables, meat, wine and herbs that are simmered until tender. Very yummy!

INGREDIENTS:

– 400 g (14 oz) of spaghetti
– 200 g (7 oz) of minced pork
– 200 g (7 oz) of minced beef
– 1 diced carrot
– 1 chopped onion
– 1 diced celery stalk
– 1 cup of white wine
– 725 g (25 oz) of tomato sauce
– 1 bay leaf
– 2 chopped cloves of garlic
– Parmesan cheese
– Oregano
– Salt
– Black pepper
– Extra Virgin Olive Oil


▼ PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Start by heating olive oil over medium heat in a large pan.
  2. Add the chopped onion, carrot and celery, and stir-fry until tender.
  3. Then add the chopped garlic and cook several minutes longer.
  4. When the onion is transparent, add the minced beef and the minced pork, and cook until brown.
  5. Add the white wine and a bay leaf, and turn up the heat to high until the alcohol is evaporated.
  6. Set the heat to medium and add the tomato sauce, salt, ground black pepper and oregano to taste.
  7. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thick and flavorful.
  8. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water (with oil and a pinch of salt) to a boil.
  9. Add the pasta and cook until al dente.
  10. Drain the spaghetti in a colander and place on a serving plate.
  11. Pour the bolognese sauce over the spaghetti.
  12. Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese powder on top, and the dish is now ready to serve!
