Tiramisu Recipe (VIDEO)

Tiramisu is a very popular stylish Italian dessert. I simplify the recipe and also give you some tips and recommendation to make it even more delicious ☺

Ingredients:
6 egg yolks
¾ cup brown sugar/or white sugar, I recommend using brown sugar as it adds more molasses taste ( try it, you will love it)
1 Tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
1 ½ cup heavy whipping cream; you will have a much better quality Tiramisu if you make Whipped Cream from heavy cream instead of using whipped cream
1 cup /8 oz. Mascarpone cheese
1 cup of good quality double espresso coffee
2 Tbsp Dark rum (Kahlua)
1 pack of Lady Finger
Unsweetened cocoa powder as your liking

Bring water to boil in a small pan and place Pyrex on top to make a double boiler. Whisk 6 egg yolks and ¾ cup brown sugar in to the Pyrex. After 5 min add 1 Tsp pure vanilla extract (I add vanilla extract in egg yolk and sugar mixture instead of whipped cream because it reduces the small of raw egg) then set the mixture aside. (It needs to cool down to room temperature) once cooled, add room temperature mascarpone cheese and mix until it gets smooth and blend.
Place one bowl in freezer to get it cold at least for 10 min (to get your whipped cream quicker) and then pour 1 ½ cup cold heavy whipping cream and mix it either with fork or mixer till you get whipped cream. Don’t mix too long otherwise you will end up with butter. Add this to the mixture of egg yolks and mascarpone and gently fold in to combine. (Gently fold in and don’t mix hard to save the puffiness of whipped cream)
Brew one cup of double espresso coffee (If you don’t have coffee machine bought a good quality double espresso coffee from coffee shop)using a good quality coffee makes a big difference. Add 2 Tbsp Dark rum (Kahlua) to the coffee and soak each lady finger for a 5-6 second and plate them. Cover the first layer of lady fingers with the mixture of whipped cream, mascarpone that you just made (use half of the amount as you need to make another layer and cover it with this mixture). Put another layer of lady fingers on top and cover it with whipped cream and mascarpone. Keep the Tiramisu in the fridge for at least 8 hours before serving. (I recommend keep the tiramisu for 24-48 hours, it is getting much more delicious after 24 hours or more). Before serving, coat the tiramisu with unsweetened cocoa powder. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!!
