Pizza Balls (Italian Takoyaki Recipe) (VIDEO)

Did you know that you can make a variety of delicious items in your takoyaki maker? Today we’re making Pizza Balls!

INGREDIENTS:
2 eggs
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups water
pepperoni
mushroom, sliced
shredded cheese
bell pepper, thinly sliced


DIRECTIONS:
Crack two eggs in a small bowl and give them a quick whisk. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add the eggs in and mix well. Add in water a little at a time, mixing between each addition to incorporate. Grease takoyaki pan with some oil and pour batter in. Push in your favorite pizza ingredients such as pepperoni, mushrooms, etc. Top with shredded cheese and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the sides start to become dry. Using a bamboo skewer, separate the batter between each pizza ball. Flip it over and cook for another 3 minutes, flipping it over occasionally to create a nice round shape. Transfer to a plate and add more cheese. Top with pizza sauce and chopped basil. Enjoy!
