Roast chicken with potatoes, Italian recipe (VIDEO)

Hello everybody by Sonia, today we will see how to prepare farmyard roast chicken with potatoes and aromatic herbs. Let’s see what we need. / 1 kilo of chopped farmyard chicken, 1 kilo of potatoes, 2 cloves of garlic, a little posy of fresh aromatic herbs of sage, thyme, oregano and rosemary, salt, pepper and extra-virgin olive oil.

Let’s start the preparation flavoring the chicken, then we season it with salt and pepper and the chopped aromatic herbs and we finally sprinkle it with three or four spoons of oil. We stir the pieces of chicken to let them become tasty and we let them pickle for 30 or 40 minutes. Then we move them to a casserole or a baking pan and put them in the oven at 190 degrees for about 20 minutes.

At the same time, we skin the potatoes and we cut them in slices. After 20 minutes we take the chicken out of the oven, we add the cloves of garlic and the potatoes, that we will have seasoned before with salt and pepper. Let’s stir to make everything become tasty and let’s put it in oven till it’s cooked. It will take us about 20-30 minutes. At this time, the chicken is cooked and we can put it in our plate.

If we’re using a small-size chicken or if it’s not a farmyard one, it can directly be put in oven with potatoes. And finally, we garnish our chicken with a little posy of fresh aromatic herbs before bringing it to the table.
