One Pot Zuppa Toscana (VIDEO)

Ingredients:
-6 slices bacon, chopped
-500g mild Italian sausage
-1½ teaspoons red pepper flakes
-1 onion, diced (approx 1 cup)
-4 cloves garlic, minced
-8 cups chicken broth
-2 potatoes, diced (approx 3 cups)
-1 cup heavy cream
-2 cups chopped kale, spinach or swiss chard

Method:
1. In a large heavy pot cook chopped bacon until crisp.
2. Set aside. Use left over fat to cook rest of meal.
3. Add sausages and red pepper flakes to pan, cook until browned.
4. Add onion and garlic and continue cooking for a few minutes.
5. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil, add diced potatoes and cook for 15 minutes until tender.
6. Add cooked bacon, heavy cream and chopped greens. Warm through and serve.
